GOAT NEWS….. They ARE ALMOST HERE!

We are so close to welcoming our goats to their new home. Ed and Ethan had a serious trench digging and filling day this past week to run water and electricity to the goats. Thanks to MARK for coming and hooking up the water… We even have water at the camper spot now. I think we put the hydrant in 3 years ago. It’s all VERY exciting! The cats had fun playing in the trench and there were only ankle breaking holes in the yard for one day! No injuries! However they did have the HOTTEST day in APRIL to get it all done. It was a ridiculous 90 degrees here… TOOO much TOOO soon…but made me realize maybe I do want a pool? Ed decided on a metal roof and we chose a muted rich red for the color. His dad’s friend is heading to PA wednesday to auction and will pick it up for us on his way THANKS FOR THAT!!! … I think the red is going to look fantastic.. Fencing is the next step for now.

On another note we went to visit the goats yesterday!! LULU and LOLA are HUGE! LOLA was running up and down the line of metal feed bins, causing much rukus and making her sister very nervous so Natalie scooped her up and they had some snuggle time.

We also got to visit with our yearling girls AND…… I felt the barn needed a wethered male to balance out all these girls so we picked him out. So we will bring home 5 total…. I think about them all the time and CAN NOT wait for them to be here…. I think we will have a bit of a barn warming gathering when they come! I am considering story hours here and goat yoga… so stay tuned

OH! and super fun news too.. We have decided to name our little homestead which is slowly becoming a farm BLUEBERRY HILL FARM. We have/had wild blueberries everywhere and we have this giant beautiful hill Ed unearthed this winter, so its perfect. Natalie and Ed have spent countless hours for many years picking those blueberries on the hill so Blueberry Hill Farm it is.. so sweet. Now I will be working on a logo

take good care
